It never rains, but…

… it pours. Sunday 16th, the first  real Conference day, and it was pouring from the skies like in monsoon in India (but colder than there). I had the feeling that I will never get dry again. People in tents got soaked and had to flee into the buildings, were they spend the night in dormitories. Some of the workshops that were planned to take place outside had to be relocated to the inside.

The good thing about such extremes of weather that it brings people together, challenges our sense of humor, and let’s us appreciate when it finally changes again. And so it was. Eventually it cleared up, everybody felt relieved,  and  we all took delight in a nice warm summer evening.
